Congratulations to Mick O’BRIEN from State Audit who achieved 450 runs in run 3 and to Dima POSTNIKOV of BT Dominators who reached 300 runs. These are significant milestones showing great commitment and worthy of celebration.

The weather again held up for us in run 3. It was cool but sunny, and a good day for running. Turnout was down on run 2, but attendance reached double figures for 16 teams and 20 teams scored over 100 points.

It has been observed that several runners missed turns and did not follow the designated course. All runners are kindly requested to acquaint themselves with the correct course. Additionally, experienced runners are encouraged to offer guidance to new participants.

Considering the preceding days, we were fortunate with the weather for run 2. It was warm and sunny, accompanied by some cool breezes. Consequently, attendance reached double figures for 24 teams and 20 teams achieved over 100 points.

The presentation for series 108 will be held in the Domain on Wednesday, 30th April, at 12:30pm. Team Captains with trophies from last series should arrange handing back the trophies for engraving and presentation to the series 108 winners.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Turnout for run 6 was three up on run 5 and the fifth lowest of the series. Eleven teams broke the 100-point mark, and one team, Westpac Trotters, broke the 200-point mark with 213. An amazing and rare effort.

Macquarie Generals take out the overall win, as they did in series 107, with a margin of 126 points. The total points scored in run 6 was 3,435.

Westpac Trotters took out the knockout trophy, beating Macquarie Generals, 213 – 187. Reserve Bank Magic Milers beat CFS Amicis, 127 – 83 in the playoff for third and fourth places.

The series title is a tie between ASX Xtraordinaries and Legal Eagles both on 75 points, out of a possible 90.  The total turnout in run 6 was 390 counting runners, 284 males and 106 females.

The winner of the Ron Coombs Memorial Trophy for the top point scorer of the opposite sex to the winner of the Garry Gould Memorial Trophy is Natalie EDWARDS of Legal Eagles with 103 points.

CC AMATIL MOST IMPROVED TEAM
This competition ranks each team’s improvement in three areas over the last two series – point score, team representation and fast runs. As this is an encouragement award for teams who would not otherwise figure in the prize-giving, teams who win one of the other competitions are excluded from winning it.

The Most Improved Team Trophy for series 107 is won by Telstra Tornados.

Today we give a special mention and congratulations to John CANTLON of State Audit, who reached 500 runs in run 5.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
I missed this run, doubly unfortunate, as the report is that “The weather was the best it has been so far this series, slightly cooler and it seemed a lot less humid.  That is why there was an explosion of point scoring!”

Turnout was 389 runners, slightly down on run 4, but as noted there was an explosion of points. 13 teams scored more than 100 points. Westpac Trotters top scored with 191, followed by Macquarie Generals with 186 and Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 167. However, there was no change to the top 3 rankings.
