Series 113 – Run 6 – 30 September 2026 – Run No. 678
GENERAL BUSINESS
The presentation for series 113 will be held in the Domain at 12:30pm as usual, but the date is yet to be confirmed, due to the Domain being closed for other events during October. A separate reminder for Team Captains about returning trophies for engraving will be issued in due course.
SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Conditions were quite good for run 6, sunny but not too hot, although the total points scored dropped hugely from run 5. Eight teams reached the 100 point mark, led by Macquarie Generals with 189 points, their biggest score of the series. They were followed by IAG Road Runners with 157 and Westpac Trotters with 147. Macquarie Generals won the overall title by a margin of 134 points, with Westpac Trotters and ASX Xtraordinaries filling the minor placings. The total points scored in run 6 was 2,672.

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
The two highest scoring teams on the day met in the knockout final, with Macquarie Generals beating IAG Road Runners 189-157. Westpac Trotters beat Policy on the Run 147-119 in the playoff for third place, in another high scoring match.
FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Legal Eagles top scored in run 6 with 7 points, ahead of Reserve Bank Magic Milers and Telstra Tornados with 5 each. Reserve Bank Magic Milers win the overall title by a margin of 20.

Macquarie Generals and IAG Road Runners had the best turnout in run 6 with 14 each, followed by four teams with 12. Sydney Tax Pack have won the title by 2 points from Macquarie Generals, with a total of 76 points of a possible 90. The total turnout in run 6 was 371 counting runners, 273 males and 98 females.

The winner of the Ron Coombs Memorial Trophy for the top point scorer of the opposite sex to the winner of the Garry Gould Memorial Trophy is Diandra WILMOT of Team UBS with 126 points.
CC AMATIL MOST IMPROVED TEAM
This competition ranks each team’s improvement in three areas over the last two series – point score, team representation and fast runs. As this is an encouragement award for teams who would not otherwise figure in the prize-giving, teams who win one of the other competitions are excluded from winning it.
The Most Improved Team Trophy for series 113 is IAG Road Runners.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to Amy CHEUNG of Transport Trainers, who completed her 100th consecutive run in run 5. Amy is just the ninth person to achieve this outstanding feat and is the first female to do so.
SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
There was a cold wind blowing for run 5, and it seems everyone wanted to get their run done quickly as there were many PBs and lots of points scored. No less than 17 teams broke the 100 point mark, led by IAG Road Runners with an outstanding 190 points. They were followed by Macquarie Generals with 183 points and Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 172. Macquarie Generals now have one hand on the trophy, but there is a close battle for the minor placings, with three teams separated by just 11 points. The total points scored in run 5 was a series high of 3,687.

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
The semi-finals saw two very high scoring matches, with Macquarie Generals beating Westpac Trotters 183-170 and IAG Road Runners beating Policy on the Run 190-129. Macquarie Generals and IAG Road Runners will meet in the final, while Westpac Trotters and Policy on the Run will play off for third place.
FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Reserve Bank Magic Milers top scored with an outstanding 12 points, followed by Legal Eagles and Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 with 5 each. The Magic Milers have wrapped up the title.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to Peter WALKER, long-standing captain of Telstra Tornados, who completed his 300th run in run 4, the 66th runner to reach this milestone. Peter joined the Cup in series 52 in 2005, has a speedy PB of 21:40 and is still regularly scoring fast run points.

Conditions were much cooler for run 4, with a brisk southerly blowing. Correspondingly there was an upward leap in total points scored. Nine teams broke the 100 point mark, led by Westpac Trotters with 160 points, Macquarie Generals with 155 points and Macquarie Nomads with 147. Macquarie Generals extend their overall lead over ASX Xtraordinaries. The total points scored in run 4 was 3,070.

The top half of the draw saw two high scoring matches, with two unlucky teams scoring over 100 points but still losing. Macquarie Generals beat BNP Flyers 155-102 and Westpac Trotters beat Apra Running Regulators 160-109. In the bottom half IAG Road Runners beat BT Dominators 86-70 and Policy on the Run beat State Library Speed Readers 84-54.
FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Reserve Bank Magic Milers again top scored with 9 points, followed by Legal Eagles, Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 and Telstra Tornados all with 4. The Magic Milers are now essentially assured of the title.

Spring arrived with a bang for run 3 and conditions were very warm. The total points scored was correspondingly much lower than in previous runs. Only 2 teams broke the 100 point mark, Macquarie Generals with 153 points and Macquarie Nomads with 110. Reserve Bank Magic Milers were next best with 90 points. Macquarie Generals have taken over top spot from ASX Xtraordinaries. The total points scored in run 3 was 1,869.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to Craig PAGER of Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1, who completed his 400th run in run 2, the 31st runner to do so. Craig joined the Corporate Cup in series 31 back in 1998, has a very speedy PB of 21:15 and is still cranking out fast run points.

Conditions were again good for run 2 and there was a good increase in points scored. 12 teams broke the 100 point mark, led by ABS Moving Averages with 132, just ahead of Macquarie Generals with 131 and both ASX Xtraordinaries and BNP Flyers with 129 points. ASX Xtraordinaries maintain their early lead. The total points scored in run 2 was 3,218.

There were several very close matches in round 2 of the knockout, none more so than the Deloitte Merger Milers v Westpac Harriers clash, which saw Westpac Harriers win 82-80. Other close matches saw Reserve Bank Magic Milers pip Macquarie Nomads by just six points 117-111 and ASX Xtraordinaries edge Sydney Tax Pack, also by six points, 129-123. Three other matches were decided by 12 points or less.

Reserve Bank Magic Milers again top scored with 8 points, but were followed this time by Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 with 6, while three teams each scored 5. The Magic Milers stretch their lead at the top to 5 points.
