Series #111 – Run 1 – 4 February 2026 – Run No. 661

GENERAL BUSINESS
Two teams have sadly dropped out of the Corporate Cup for series 111: IA Running Capacity and Liberty Legends, although Liberty Legends do hope to be back for series 112.  There are currently no teams on the waiting list ready to come in, so the series will run with 42 teams rather than 44.

A special mention also for Ross Williams of Australian Museum Runosaurs, who reached the huge milestone of 450 runs in run 1.  Ross started his Corporate Cup career way back in series 3 and is the 19th person to reach this milestone.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
It was quite warm for running, although there was a nice cool breeze blowing here and there.  Only four teams broke the 100 point mark, led by Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 133.  They were followed by Reserve Bank Midday Milers on 120, with the two Macquarie teams also breaking 100.  The total points scored in run 1 was 2,027.

Team Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Run 4 Run 5 Run 6 Total
Reserve Bank Magic Milers 133   133
Reserve Bank Midday Milers 120   120
Macquarie Generals 117   117

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
The knockout section of the draw saw some close matches, with Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 edging TAL Trailblazers 31-29, Awesome Midday Pacers beating NRF Road Warriors 36-31 and State Audit beating CFS Cruisers 28-22, while Deloitte Merger Milers were the lowest scoring team to progress in this section, beating PWC Fasttrack 20-10.

Meanwhile in the repechage section, the vagaries of the draw mean that The Running Walkers and King & Wood Mallesons, who played each other and both go through, will meet each other again in round 2. King & Wood Mallesons won in round 1 – can The Running Walkers turn the tables in round 2?

FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION

Series #110 – Run 4 – 1 October 2025 – Run No. 658

GENERAL BUSINESS
Just a couple of general reminders to keep in mind.

  1. Running on the Road

Running on the road is only permitted crossing the small side road immediately beyond the expressway bridge. At all other points, running on the road is expressly prohibited. Should you encounter congestion on the footpath, please reduce your pace and pass safely; do not use the road as an alternative route. Adherence to this guideline is required as part of our agreement with the RBG, and any violation may jeopardise the continuation of our event.

  1. Hazardous Areas on the Course

When returning around Mrs Macquarie’s Point, please be aware of a tree root that has slightly raised the tarmac, creating a potential trip hazard. While many runners proceed without incident, there have been reports of stumbles and occasional falls, so extra caution is advised.

Additionally, exercise care on the steps descending from the middle path to Mrs Macquarie’s Point. These steps vary in tread and depth, and there have been serious falls in previous series. Please navigate these areas with particular attention.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Reports on run 1 of the series indicate that it was a “bit of a wet one today! I think most runners had fairly light rain, and conditions were actually quite good for running – very few tourists and just a few puddles to contend with.”

Remember, it’s always a good day for a run.

Turnout for run 1 was only 276, almost 100 less than the previous series 109 run, with possibly the weather keeping many runners away. However, 8 teams still managed to score more than 100 points:
