Series #89 – Run 5 – 11 October 2017 – Run No. 533
GENERAL BUSINESS
Don’t forget that run 6 is on only one week after run 5, on 18 October 2017.
SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
An unexpected blockage of our main start/finish straight led to the course being slightly longer than usual for run 5. This, coupled with the fact that some runners had their runs lengthened by being “trapped” in the enclosure, led to a low scoring day. Apra Running Regulators were the only team to reach 100 points, top scoring with 103. They were followed by King & Wood Mallesons on 95 and Macquarie Nomads on 80. The top three places overall remain unchanged. The total points scored in run 5 was 1,935.
| Team | Run 1 | Run 2 | Run 3 | Run 4 | Run 5 | Run 6 | Total |
| Apra Running Regulators | 164 | 157 | 33 | 121 | 103 | 578 | |
| ABS Moving Averages | 134 | 175 | 21 | 127 | 78 | 535 | |
| King & Wood Mallesons | 142 | 120 | 57 | 112 | 95 | 526 |
RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
Both semi-finals saw fairly clear-cut results, with Apra Running Regulators beating Rabobank Grasshoppers 103-53 and King & Wood Mallesons beating Telstra Tornados 95-63. Thus the round’s two top scoring teams will meet in the final, while Rabobank Grasshoppers and Telstra Tornados will play off for third place.
