GENERAL BUSINESS
The two APRA teams have consolidated into one for series 106, enabling the return of the CFS Cruisers team for the first time since series 90, to fill our complement of 44 teams.  Welcome back!

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Conditions were warm and dry for the first run of the series, an improvement on the previous few days, with a respectable turnout of runners. Six teams broke the 100-point mark and the total points scored in run 1 was 2840.

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
There was only one high scoring match in the knockout, where both teams earned 100 or more points. Macquarie Nomads beat ANZ Incredibles 182 – 126. 32 teams have moved into the second round.

FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Legal Eagles top scored with 7 points, ahead of Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 6 and Australian Museum Runosaurs and Telstra Tornados, both with 4.

Philip CONWAY of IAG Road Runners was the fastest man with the time of 21.50, and Cathy LIU of Reserve Bank Magic Milers was fastest woman with 25.50. There were 42 fast runners, 30 males (11%) and 12 females (13%).

THE MAT GARROD MEMORIAL TEAM REPRESENTATION TROPHY
Congratulations to IAG Road Runners and Macquarie Nomads, who had the best turnout in run 1 with 14. They were followed by Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 and Macquarie Generals with 13, and then a 3-way tie on 12. The total turnout was 375 counting runners, 279 males and 96 females.

Series #105 – Run 6 – 17 April 2024 – Run No. 630

GENERAL BUSINESS

The presentation for series 105 will be held in the Domain on Wednesday, 1st May, at 12:30pm. Team Captains with trophies from last series should arrange handing back the trophies for engraving and presentation to the series 105 winners.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Conditions were particularly good for run 6, sunny and cool, but turnout was down on the previous run, being the lowest of the series. Four teams broke the 100-point mark, led by Macquarie Generals on 164, followed by Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 151, IAG Road Runners with 148, and Legal Eagles on 133.

Macquarie Generals take out the overall win, with a margin of 254 points. The total points scored in run 6 was 2,287.

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
Macquarie Generals took out the knockout trophy, beating IAG Road Runners, 164 – 148. Deutsche RBC Runners beat Reserve Bank Metric Milers, 94 – 35 in the playoff for third and fourth places.

FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Legal Eagles and Reserve Bank Magic Milers top scored with 8 points each, ahead of Telstra Tornados and IAG Road Runners, both with 3.  This big finish saw Legal Eagles pip Reserve Bank Magic Milers by one point to win the overall title.

Best turnout in run 6 goes to Macquarie Generals with 14, followed by IAG Road Runners with 12 and Legal Eagles, ASX Xtraordinaries, Reserve Bank Magic Milers, ABS Moving Averages, and IA Running Capacity, all with 11. The series title has gone to Domain Dashers with 78 points of a possible 90.  The total turnout in run 6 was 297 counting runners, 224 males and 73 females.

GARRY GOULD MEMORIAL TROPHY
The winner of the Garry Gould Memorial Trophy for the top point scorer in series 105 is Mark LUSHER of Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 who scored 128 points.

RON COOMBS MEMORIAL TROPHY
The winner of the Ron Coombs Memorial Trophy for the top point scorer of the opposite sex to the winner of the Garry Gould Memorial Trophy is Lisa LOADER of Australian Museum Runosaurs with 116 points.

CC AMATIL MOST IMPROVED TEAM
This competition ranks each team’s improvement in three areas over the last two series – point score, team representation and fast runs. As this is an encouragement award for teams who would not otherwise figure in the prize-giving, teams who win one of the other competitions are excluded from winning it.

The Most Improved Team Trophy for series 105 is won by IAG Road Runners.

Series 105 Run 5 – 3 April 2024 – Run No. 629

GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to Jan Swinhoe of Westpac Harriers on becoming the first female to reach the 300 runs milestone in run 5.  Jan started in series 24 and has achieved a PB of 28:45.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
The weather for run 5 was a big improvement over run 4, being comparatively cool and sunny. Turnout was slightly down on the previous run, but total points scored was 2350, the highest of the series, so far.  Six teams broke the 100-point mark, but the top 3 remained unchanged.

There was only one high scoring match, where both teams earned over 100 points, this round, with Macquarie Generals beating Deutsche RBC Runners 140-110.  In the other match IAG Road Runners beat Reserve Bank Metric Milers 175-68.

Macquarie Generals will meet IAG Road Runners in the final, while Deutsche RBC Runners and Reserve Bank Metric Milers will play off for third place.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to John Backhouse of Australian Musem Runosaurs (formerly Veterans Affairs), who reached the awesome milestone of 500 runs in run 4.  John started in series 2 and has been ever-present since.  With a PB of 26:40 set in series 16, he is the sixth person to join the 500 club.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
The weather for run 4 was hot, wet, and humid, with many runners commenting on how difficult the run was. However, turnout was slightly up on the previous run. Only one team, Macquarie Generals, broke the 100-point mark, with 132. Results saw a change in the top 3.  The total points scored in run 4 was 1,341.
