GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to Simon Davis of BT Dominators, who completed his 500th run in run 4.  Simon joined the Corporate Cup in series 21 back in 1995 and has been both a long term committee member and BT captain.  He is just the tenth person to achieve this huge milestone.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
It was a humid day, but not as warm as for run 2, and the point scoring bounced back to run 1 levels.  Four teams managed to reach 100 points, with Macquarie Generals way out in front on 144.  They were followed by Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 118 points and ASX Xtraordinaries with 107.  Macquarie Generals extend their lead at the top, while Reserve Bank Midday Milers inch ahead of Macquarie Nomads to be third outright.  The total points scored in run 3 was 2,167.

Series #111 – Run 2 – 18 February 2026 – Run No. 662

GENERAL BUSINESS
We have received reports of some runners not completing the full course.  There are often valid reasons for why this happens but, if it does, the runner should NOT cross the finish line, as this will potentially give them a run credit which they have not earned.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
It was a very warm day and consequently point scoring was hard to come by.  No team managed to reach 100 points, and in fact only 8 reached 50 points.  The best score was 87 by Macquarie Generals, who move to the top of the table.  They were followed by MBA Yield Chasers with 60 and Jarden RBC Stride Tribe with 58.  The total points scored in run 2 was 1,126.

Team Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Run 4 Run 5 Run 6 Total
Macquarie Generals 117 87   204
Reserve Bank Magic Milers 133 52   185
Macquarie Nomads 110 44   154
Reserve Bank Midday Milers 120 34         154

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
There were many low scoring, and consequently close, matches in the knockout, none more so than that between State Audit and Transport Trainers who inflicted the handicapper’s nightmare with a 6-6 draw.  They will go into a three way tie with King & Wood Mallesons in the 3rd round.   There were four other matches decided by 10 points or less.

FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Fast points were also in short supply, with barely half the number from round 1.  Reserve Bank Magic Milers had the best score with 6, followed by Telstra Tornados with 4 and Legal Eagles and Westpac Harriers both with 2.

Team Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Run 4 Run 5 Run 6 Total
Reserve Bank Magic Milers 9 6   15

Matt GIBSON of Reserve Bank Magic Milers was again fastest man with 21.50, while Eliza DAVIDSON of Macquarie Nomads was again fastest woman with 24.10.  There were 22 fast runners in run 2, 16 males (6%) and 6 females (7%).

Series #111 – Run 1 – 4 February 2026 – Run No. 661

GENERAL BUSINESS
Two teams have sadly dropped out of the Corporate Cup for series 111: IA Running Capacity and Liberty Legends, although Liberty Legends do hope to be back for series 112.  There are currently no teams on the waiting list ready to come in, so the series will run with 42 teams rather than 44.

A special mention also for Ross Williams of Australian Museum Runosaurs, who reached the huge milestone of 450 runs in run 1.  Ross started his Corporate Cup career way back in series 3 and is the 19th person to reach this milestone.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
It was quite warm for running, although there was a nice cool breeze blowing here and there.  Only four teams broke the 100 point mark, led by Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 133.  They were followed by Reserve Bank Midday Milers on 120, with the two Macquarie teams also breaking 100.  The total points scored in run 1 was 2,027.

Team Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Run 4 Run 5 Run 6 Total
Reserve Bank Magic Milers 133   133
Reserve Bank Midday Milers 120   120
Macquarie Generals 117   117

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
The knockout section of the draw saw some close matches, with Commonwealth Bank Harriers 1 edging TAL Trailblazers 31-29, Awesome Midday Pacers beating NRF Road Warriors 36-31 and State Audit beating CFS Cruisers 28-22, while Deloitte Merger Milers were the lowest scoring team to progress in this section, beating PWC Fasttrack 20-10.

Meanwhile in the repechage section, the vagaries of the draw mean that The Running Walkers and King & Wood Mallesons, who played each other and both go through, will meet each other again in round 2. King & Wood Mallesons won in round 1 – can The Running Walkers turn the tables in round 2?

FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
The usual suspects have moved quickly to the front in this competition, with Reserve Bank Magic Milers top scoring with 9 points, followed by Legal Eagles with 6 and Telstra Tornados with 5.
