Series 95 run 3 newsletter

Series #95 – Run 3 – 18 September 2019 – Run No. 567

GENERAL BUSINESS
Congratulations to John Backhouse of Veterans Affairs who completed his 450th run in run 3.  John is the ninth person to reach this epic milestone and, remarkably, the third to do so in this series and he celebrated the occasion with a big 25 point run.  Special thanks to the two duty teams from Commonwealth Bank for manning the barricades in the wet weather.

SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
While turnout was down for run 3, the wet weather meant that those who did turn up were rewarded with a clear track and good running conditions, with 57 runners scoring 20 points or more.  10 teams broke the 100 points mark, led again by Macquarie Nomads with 161 points.  They were closely followed by stable-mates Macquarie Generals with 154 points and Sydney Tax Pack with 146.  Macquarie Nomads extend their overall lead to 73 points.  The total points scored in run 3 was 3,085.

FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
Legal Eagles again top scored with 9 fast runs in run 3, ahead of BT Dominators and Telstra Tornados with 5 apiece.  With their total score already nearly double that of the second placed team, Legal Eagles look sure-fire winners of this competition.
