Series #95 – Run 1 – 21 August 2019 – Run No. 565
GENERAL BUSINESS
Two runners completed their 450th run in run 1. One was Corporate Cup legend Ian Graves of Ausgrid. Gravesy is an Original, having started in series 1, boasts a most impressive PB of 20:50 and is still cranking out the runs at 75 years young. The other was none other than your humble handicapper.
Special thanks to Maria Parsons for filling in so ably as handicapper for runs 5 and 6 last series.
SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Conditions were surprisingly warm for run 1, but a big turnout saw some excellent point scoring. No less than 22 teams reached the 100 points mark, led by Rabobank Grasshoppers with 187. They were followed by BT Dominators with 179 points and Legal Eagles with 159. The total points scored in run 1 was 4,319.

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
The closest match in the knockout was in the repechage section of the draw, where both teams go through anyway: JPM Jets pipped Macquarie Generals in a very high-scoring match 139-137. At the other end of the scale, Westpac Trotters were annihilated by Rabobank Grasshoppers 187-15, probably the greatest margin ever, but the Trotters also get a second chance. In the knockout section, Suncorp were unlucky losers, scoring over 100 points but going down narrowly 112-108 against Sydney Tax Pack, while CGU Champions also scored over 100 points and still lost.
