Series #90 – Run 1 – 7 February 2018 – Run No. 535
GENERAL BUSINESS
In series 90 we welcome two new teams to the competition: JPM Jets and Apra Standard Setters. They are replacing QBE Risky Runners and Allianz Experience, who we hope will both get an opportunity to return to the Corporate Cup in the future.
SYDNEY CORPORATE CUP POINTSCORE TROPHY
Pleasant sunny conditions, if a little warm, saw a big turnout for the first run of the new year, but a low point score. No team reached the 100 points mark, with the top score coming from NRMA Insurance with 96. They were followed by Westpac Trotters with 91 points and Deutsche Springers with 83. The total points scored in run 1 was a mere 1,850.

RABOBANK KNOCKOUT TROPHY
There were a couple of very close matches in the knockout section, with Veterans Affairs pipping CGU Champions 33-32 and Awesome Midday Pacers beating State Audit 19-17 in a low scoring match. In the battle of the newcomers, APRA Standard Setters knocked out JPM Jets 28-22.
FASTEST TEAM COMPETITION
The fast run target times have been adjusted for series 90 onwards, in an effort to make them more equitable. Legal Eagles, minus their hard-driving captain for this series, managed to gain a slight edge in run 1, with 8 fast runs, just ahead of Reserve Bank Magic Milers with 7.
